Welcome to Golden Hill UMC! We are glad you are interested in visiting our congregation. You are warmly invited to come and worship with us and experience God’s grace and love at our 10:45 AM service. We are a diverse and inclusive Christian community located in the downtown Bridgeport, CT area. Our vision is to connect all people with Jesus Christ in loving, faithful, and authentic relationships through small groups, contemporary and traditional worship, and community outreach.

Have kids? No worries, we've got you covered. We normally provide childcare from newborn to 12 years old for all of our services. Unfortunately, we are just getting back to worshipping in person due to COVID and hope to restart this soon!

Where are you located?

Golden Hill United Methodist Church main entrance for Sunday worship is located on Golden Hill Street. We are a vigorous downtown, metropolitan church which will continue to be enriched well into the 21st century by its members' racial, ethnic, educational and economic backgrounds.

What time is service?

We currently offer two opportunities to worship - at 8:30 A.M. and 10:45 A.M. In the summertime, services start at 9:30 A.M.

Where do I park?

Golden Hill has two parking lots - the upper lot is located on Golden Hill Street and the lower lot is located at the main office entrace on Elm Street. Parking is available on the street in front of the church.

Is there something for my kids?

Golden Hill UMC offers a UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) for grades 7-12. No Sunday school classes and nursery at this time due to COVID. Confirmation classes are held for 7th or 8th graders.

What does a Typical Service Look Like?

Our services are spiritually uplifting with a blend of contemporary and traditional hymns. At Golden Hill you will find a quiet, meditative service.

How do I join a ministry?

How can I get involved in serving?

There are many different opportunities to serve at Golden Hill UMC - from community supper Wednesday evenings to buying food for our Weekenders backpack ministry.
